Sip, Dip, and Savor!

In an effort to support Pelotonia, Sher-Bliss is collaborating with Pelotonia riders Betty Brown, Dan Fulton, Katie Fulton, Kimberly Rankin, and Violet Rankin to raise money and awareness. They will be riding from Columbus to Gambier, the Peloton being JP Morgan Chase. The goal, to end cancer, can be achieved with our help and yours.

Graduation Party Platters, for parties of 25 or more people
Wow your guests with an extravagant fixed display beautifully arrayed and embracing the season.  Laden with hand-crafted cheeses, a variety of dips, crackers, assorted olives, vegetables and a variety of house made pickles.  People will be hovering! $5, $7 or $12 per person depending upon selections made.

Choose three salads from the following: (each $7 per person)

  • Pasta salad with Salami and Grapes, and raspberry pomegranate vinaigrette
  • Cole slaw with vanilla bean dressing
  • Crunchy pea salad with cashews, water chestnuts and Asian sesame vinaigrette
  • Caesar Salad
  • Quinoa salad with mangos and peppers
  • Couscous with mint, currants and chick peas, and a cinnamon vinaigrette
  • Salad of shaved fennel with a citrus vinaigrette
  • Grape leaves and hearts of palm topped with a creamy lemon emulsion, assorted roasted peppers and eggplant with hoisin marinade
  • Green bean and arugula salad with shallots and chopped egg in a walnut oil vinaigrette

  • Mini black bean burgers on cornmeal squares

Finger foods/appetizers – Hot options (each $4.50 per person)

  • Roasted peppers or pita triangles stuffed with artichokes and jars berg dip, 2 per serving
  • Mini crab cake with creamy lemon sauce
  • Flatbread with herbed cream cheese, zucchini, yellow squash and red onion
  • Cashew chicken bites with lime marmalade and horseradish sauce, 3 per person
  • Mini lentil tacos with cheddar, cilantro and homemade ranch

Fish station (priced as noted)

  • Smoked trout spread in a fish-shaped mold with baby rye and pumpernickel ($4 per person)
  • Whole Salmon, cured overnight, rubbed with zesty herbs and spices, roasted and then chilled; served with crostini ($6.75 per person)
  • Assorted tartares and ceviches, (market price)

Sandwiches, select two ($4.50 per person)

  • Trio of tea sandwiches, Liptauer and smoked salmon, cucumber and mint
  • Herbed foccacia bread with roasted turkey breast and carmelized red onion spread
  • Zesty Sloppy Joes with slider rolls
  • Mini beef banh mi (or tofu)
  • Pulled turkey sliders in chipotle BBQ sauce
  • Italian hoagies, assorted meats, cheeses and vegetables, cut into two inch pieces

Fruit and desserts

  • Fresh fruit display – $3 per person with carvings surrounding a theme or person; priced from $100-$150 depending upon selection. Portfolio available upon request.
  • Buckeyes – homemade, large buckeyes from our secret recipe, dipped in milk or dark Belgian chocolate; $1 each
  • Dipped strawberries or grapes. Strawberries  $30 per lb. dipped in milk or dark Belgian chocolate. Approx 15 per lb.
  • Fudge Bar $5 per person
  • Candy cart – ask for details
  • Brownie, cupcake, cookies – $3 per person

Orders for pick up should be placed a week ahead and paid in full at the time order is placed. Rentals, disposables, linens and drinks can be priced and taken care of for you.  Crowd-pleasing wines and beers can be sourced to omplement your menu at all pricepoints.
We have a delightful staff – let us know if you would like to have a person or crew to set up, serve, bus and clean up.

A (Marlborough) creamy sauv blanc that is truly balanced, and neither pungent nor one-dimensional.  All the wines have great food pairing possibilities.

Oregon is at its finest in the summertime! $20 per person, light bites served. Hopefully facilitated by Julia of Vintage Wine distributors, if she isn’t in Oregon. If she is, we will skype her from some beautiful vineyard or another!

Last summer we were a sweet success with our Pelotonia fundraisers!

For groups of 20 or more adults, your Peloton can host a private chocolate-making, wine-tasting party benefitting a great cause.

$40 per person includes a sampling of 4 wines, light apps and a chocolate class relaying chocolate’s rich history dating back to Maya and Aztec royal and religious events where it was a like the currency of gold. The best part-participants enter the Sher Bliss kitchen for a tutorial on chocolate terminology and then in a DIY workshop, hand-craft confections to take home or enjoy here.  After all, what happens at Sher Bliss stays at Sher Bliss!

$20 dollars per person and 5% of the evening’s purchases are donated to Pelotonia.

Food and Wine 101

A favorite topic brought to you by Jackie Ketchel of Glazer’s of Ohio and Cheryl Sher. Conveniently offered on Mondays from 6:30 to 8 PM. Sign up for one or the entire series! Great treat for yourself or a gift for Mom, Dad or both for a combined Mother’s Day and Father’s Day couples’ gift.

$150 per person if  purchased individually. If purchased as a package save 20%, an incredible value at $120 for the knowledge, great food, laughter and wine experiences. There will be keepsake books for you to add your own notes on your tasting experience and paired plates of food will be served.

  • May 13 – Wine Basics: Discuss basic varietals and why they pair well or poorly with certain food. One of the most educational tastings you will ever attend. $20 per person.
  • June 10 – Food and Wine 101. We take you to Italy. While you sample wines from four different regions, Barolo, Chianti, Vernaccia and Prosecco, the foods offered will show how cuisines in Italy, developed around  the grapes grown. $40 per person.
  • July 8 – Spanish tastings. Where better to travel in the heat of the summer than Espana! Tried and true varietals and a dry sherry that is not what your Grandma served. Perfect for summer. $30 per person.
  • Aug 30 – Food and Sparkling Wine. Bubbling with the thrill of presenting one of the most versatile and under-served styles of wine: sparkling wines. We will sample a true Champagne and other refreshing and delightful sparklers; Cava, Prosecco and California will all be represented. $30 per person.
  • Sept 9 – Pinot Defined, by its origin of course. Sample Pinots side by side from Oregon, France, California and South America. Discover first-hand the influence of soil, climate and rainfall and which are good to sip alone and which cry for food! $30 per person.

JUNE

A dim room and black glasses all contribute to the mystery surrounding a blind tasting. How good is your palate? Think you’re an expert wine taster?

Come test your taste buds and knowledge of wine at our second blind winetasting. Learn to identify basic components of wine (aromas, flavors, acid, tannin, etc.) and increase your enjoyment of wine in general.

Savor the flavor of summertime with the annual tomato tasting with Colleen Sapp, owner of Dill’s Greenhouse. Many varietals of tomatoes to sample while discovering various regions of the world and wine-making styles that enhance this lovely fruit! $15 per person.

Hagafen Cellars tasting, phenomenal award-winning Napa wines that start with superb fruit. Small lot production from this small family winery that produces many varietals and three renowned sparkling wines. With only 8,000 cases produced per year, this winery continues the Napa tradition of producing these premium varietals for the sophisticated palate. These wines are also produced in accordance with Jewish dietary laws. $25 per person

Guys, bring your buddies for candy-making and beer-tasting. Ladies grab some friends and substitute the beer flights for wine.
